Clint Lowery of Sevendust To Sit Out 'Seasons' Anniversary Tour Due to Recent Injury

It was recently announced through Sevendust's social media that guitarist Clint Lowery will unfortunately have to sit out the band's upcoming fall tour due to a recent neck injury under advisement from doctors. Sevendust's offical statement reads, "7D Family, we are excited to get on the road and celebrate the 21st Anniversary of Seasons with you all. Unfortunately due to a recent neck injury and under doctor's advisement, our brother Clint Lowery is going to have to miss these dates. He has been instructed to rest to allow the injury to heal and rocking with you all would work against his recovery from this injury. Thankfully, we have been able to recruit some last minute replacements on guitar with Clint's blessings. Jon Jourdan from MAMMOTH WVH will be filling in for most of the dates and our longtime manager and friend Tim Tournier will be picking up the guitar duties for the shows Jon has to miss. "We can't wait to see all of our fans 'Face to Face' as we celebrate Seasons live! Get well soon Clint!"

Sevendust are set to kick of a 17 show tour in September and October to commemorate the 21st anniversary of the quintet's fourth studio album, "Seasons," which was released in October 2003 to commercial and critical acclaim, having a top 10 rock single with, "Enemy," and peaking at number 14 on the US charts. "Seasons," was also the last album released with Lowery before he took his four year haitus from the band, eventually returning in March of 2008 and remaining ever since. Support for the tour consists of 10 Years, Return To Dust, and Horizon Theory.

While it is bittersweet that Lowery will not be a part of an album anniversary tour for which he was so integral to the writing process, it is a relief that the band is still able to pull of the scheduled shows with the help of Jourdan and Tim Tournier. Here's to hoping that Clint has a smooth and speedy recovery, and that Sevendust still puts on the clinic of a live show that they are so well known for.
