Dallas, TX nu-gaze outfit Bleed are the latest band to appear on the online music showcase Audiotree Live. The performance was captured on May 18th at the Audiotree studio in Chicago, fresh on the heels of the band’s stunning self-titled debut album, and in the middle of a tour supporting melodic hardcore act One Step Closer.
The band plays through high-energy renditions of “Slip,” “Through the Cylinder,” “Killing Time,” “Marathon,” and “Cynical,” with the verbed-out vocal stylings of Ryan Hughes drifting in and out of the band’s signature marriage of densely-layered guitars and face-punching drop-tuned riffs. In between songs, the nu-gazers field questions about their musical influences, favorite places to get Chicago deep dish, and what early Aughts video games they would have loved to land a track on.
