I’m very curious to know who is blasting nu metal in the offices over at EA games. Not only have their flagship sports titles been christened with the nu metal flavor, their upcoming action-packed first person shooter Battlefield 6 will reportedly feature nu metal acts in the in-game radio mechanic.
When the EA dropped the multiplayer trailer back in July, the seed was already definitely planted, with Limp Bizkit‘s “Break Stuff” serving as the trailer's backdrop with a Battlefield-style remix that the game’s soundtrack is known for, bringing much needed hype to what’s definitely gonna be the most destructive version of the game’s multiplayer to date.
Not only will Limp Bizkit's new single "Making Love to Morgan Wallen" feature on the radio rotation, but a new original song titled "Battlefield: The After Party," a collaboration between the band and composer/producer Henry Jackman, will also be included.
The game is set to release on October 10th across all platforms, with the full reported list of songs as follows:
- Godsmack - "Awake"
- Drowning Pool - "Bodies"
- Limp Bizkit - "Break Stuff"
- Limp Bizkit - "Making Love To Morgan Wallen"
- Limp Bizkit - "Battlefield: After-Party"
- Pantera - "Domination"
- Filter - "Hey Man Nice Shot"
- Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Can't Stop"
- The Kinison - "You'll Never Guess Who Died"
