Fans on social media have pointed out that this weekend marked one year since Linkin Park began the campaign for what would turn into their comeback album From Zero. Lord knows we've talked the album to death, so much so that we have two different reviews on this very website (find those here and here), but the numbers being what they are, the first release with Dead Sara vocalist Emily Armstrong has led to plenty of hardware for the generational nu metal / alternative rock act.
With over 1.6 million copies sold worldwide, "From Zero" proved to be a huge success for Linkin Park.

To date, the album has been certified seven times Gold and three times Platinum.#LinkinPark #FromZero pic.twitter.com/v48IMfOzzr
As the graphic above dictates, the album has received ten certfications globally, including Platinum records in Austria, France, and Germany, as well as gold records in seven countries, including Canada, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
Tellingly enough, the album has yet to be certified in the United States, which would put its domestic sales below 500,000 units at time of publication. On one hand, this may come down to the streaming world that the music business has more or less before, particularly in the States. This is also considering that the album got a Deluxe Edition re-release back in May.
Even then, for a legacy act to notch such achievements with a new co-lead vocalist, especially coming after someone as beloved as Chester Bennington was and still is, is a milestone worth celebrating.
