Yesterday (August 25th), we were treated to a five second Instagram video posted on the official Mudvayne account, giving us a preview of something new to come. On their Instagram story, they linked that post with a countdown sticker on top that ends on Thursday, August 28th, at 12:00 A.M. There is no direct revelation in the title of the countdown, only two blood and needle emojis.
Today, they peeled back the curtain a little bit further by posting a slightly more extended version of their previous video. This new edition shows the bloodied hand from the first post (already having written "HURT") now writing the word "PeoPlE" while vocalist Chad Gray continues his demonic scream over top of the video. However, the word "BUCK" gets revealed in the vocals before the video cuts off, as confirmed by the band themselves in their comment section.
Unless the word is "fuck" and they're just joking that it sounds like "buck".
At the very end of the video, the bloodied hand starts to write another word, but only one single line is drawn before it loops back to the beginning. One fan commented "What's gonna be the next word?" to which Mudvayne comically responds with "LIVE LAUGH LOVE".
