Sleep Token's 'Even In Arcadia' Earns RIAA Gold Certification

The English enigmas have broken 500,000 copies sold in the US.

Ahead of their first foray into awards season, English post-metal outfit Sleep Token have notched their first RIAA certification. Even in Arcadia has amassed 500,000 units sold in the Unites States, earning Vessel and his numbered cohorts a Gold record.

Released last May on RCA Records, the band stirred up emotion and polarizing opinions with singles such as "Caramel" and "Emergence." The former is up for Best Rock Song at this year's Grammy Awards, with the latter up for Best Metal Performance. The album and its contents were also submitted for several other awards in the band's For Your Consideration campaign late last year.

All four of the band's studio albums have received certifications in their native England, with the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) awarding Silver certifications (60,000 units sold) to their first two albums Sundowning and This Place Will Become Your Tomb. Their breakout third record Take Me Back To Eden and the aforementioned Even in Arcadia have both scored Gold records (100,000 units sold).
