It's official: this year The Callous Daoboys will release new music. Mere hours after announcing their European/UK tour with Enter Shikari and Holding Absence, Daoboys lead singer Carson Pace took to his person Twitter to confirm what many suspected: The Callous Daoboys will release new music before the Enter Shikari Europe 2026 Tour. In a complete 180 from the day's earlier ecstatic announcement, this info was dropped with marked nonchalance. Carson tweeted, simply:
New music before Shikari tour btw

While details are scant, the band has been working on new material since at least November. It's unclear whether the band intends to release an EP or an entire full-length album. By the time the Enter Shikari tour rolls around, I Don't Want to See You in Heaven will be less than eighteen months old. For comparison, roughly eleven months separated the release of Celebrity Therapist and its follow-up EP God Smiles Upon The Callous Daoboys. Feel free to speculate in the comments below.
The band's quick turnaround is even more impressive given how much touring they have planned for 2026. Starting next month, The Daoboys will embark on their Heaven Across Europe & UK Tour with support from Knives and Love Rarely. In May the band will join Arm's Length on their There's A Whole World…Tour along with Harrison Gordon and Super Sometimes. In July they'll hit up Resurrection Fest and Roskilde Festival. Check out tour dates and the music video for "Distracted by the Mona Lisa" below.
The Callous Daoboys' latest, I Don't Want to See You in Heaven, is out now on MNRK Heavy. Check out The Nu Metal Agenda's review here.
