Tom Morello has spent his 2025 fighting the system and raging against the machine as only he can, but that doesn't mean he's been slacking on releasing music. Two of his most recent soundtrack inclusions, one of which features his own son Roman, have been announced by Morello as submissions for Grammy Award consideration.
First is "One Last Dance," which sees Tom's son Roman Morello join him and grandson for a song from Venom: The Last Dance, which has been submitted for four categories: Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year.
Meanwhile, "Come Play," a team-up of Morello, Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko, and 4th-gen K-pop kings Stray Kids, has been submitted for Soundtrack for Visual Media. The song was one of the breakout hits from the Arcane soundtrack, along with Linkin Park's "Heavy is the Crown."
Awards season is creeping up on us, and For Your Consideration campaigns have kicked up. Morello is no stranger to the process, having racked up ten nominations and two wins in his decades-long career, though his last nomination was in 2005, at the 48th annual ceremony.
