Earlier today, influential industrial act Nine Inch Nails surprise released TRON Ares: Divergence, the companion album to TRON: Ares, their soundtrack to the Jared Leto film of the same name. In classic Nine Inch Nails fashion, the companion album features a slew of remixes along with previously unreleased tracks.
Remixers include Mark Pritchard, Chilly Gonzales, Schwefelgelb, and recent collaborator Boys Noize, and more. TRON Ares: Divergence arrives mere weeks after the band won Best Rock Song at the Grammys for "As Alive as You Need Me to Be", the lead single from TRON: Ares.
Currently, Nine Inch Nails are in the midst of their Peel It Back North American Tour with opening act Boys Noize. The tour also marks the return of drummer Josh Freese (The Vandals, Devo, A Perfect Circle) who departed after the band's 2009 split. Check out dates and tracks from TRON Ares: Divergence* below.
