Today marked the beginning of gamescom in Cologne, Germany, serving as something of a spiritual successor to the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Among the dozens of titles teased, announced, and confirmed on day one of the festivities was Stage Tour, the new rhythm game from redoctane, the makers of the iconic Guitar Hero games that overtook the late Aughts and early 2010s. The newest trailer has called the game's shot, as December 10th will be the release date for the game as it comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam PC, and Epic Games Store.
With over 180 instruments from celebrated brands such as Gibson, Epiphone, Kramer, and Mesa/Boogie, there is an air of authenticity about this game and its features, all while balancing the "fuck yeah" factor of a diverse and deep setlist.

In a further 30-minute deep dive video, the game's developers dive into the game as a whole, including the hardware on offer both new and old, the game modes including the Expert Plus mode on drums, and what to expect on both day one and beyond.
Among the nu metal contingent of the setlist are Static-X's "Terminator Oscillator," BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy's "RATATATA," and Slipknot's "Psychosocial," and those are just the ones we know about at time of publication. There are an advertised 90+ songs on the setlist, and maybe half of those have been revealed thus far, including:

The game will release at an MSRP of $39.99, with guitar bundles starting at $129.99. A full band bundle will run you $299.99, unless you are looking for the double-kick and cymbals of the Pro bundle, which goes for $349.99 Bundles and ordering information are available at the Stage Tour website. The game launches on PC and console on December 10th, 2026.
