Leeds' own alt rock ragers Artio are on the road to Soul Rot Forever, the companion EP to their album Soul Rot, which dropped earlier this year. Previously the band released an orchestral mix of "Algae Bloom," and now they've unveiled a live session of their song "Room Tone."
The recording comes from Eiger Studios, in a session recorded in March of this year, shortly after Soul Rot released. The video is shot panoramically, so fair warning for the motion sick among readers and viewers. This accentuates one of the key lyrics in the song: "The room's not spinning if I close my eyes," but vocalist Rae Brazill's commanding vocals will make your head spin before long.

Soul Rot Forever will release on October 14th. In addition to digital formats, the EP will be available on CD and cassette, with pre-orders available here.
Artio are also gearing up to put on their first-ever Seventh Sun Festival, set to come to their native Leeds on November 14th. Tickets can be found on the Brudenell Social Club's website, as it will host the one-day affair.
