In just over one year since their debut album Babyface, Leeds-based Artio have made a name for themselves amongst the glut up and coming rock bands in this state of social media oversaturation. In their native England, they played Download Festival and headlined their label Slam Dunk Records’ showcase show, and now the queer quartet are beginning to promote new music. While their second studio album has yet to be named, the first single, “Split Soul,” will be released next Friday, June 2nd, and the band's socials have posted teaser clips of the song. They have also released merchandise to promote the song, signaling a visual shift from the mafia iconography which Babyface, especially the title track's music video, favored.

Singer Rae Brazill is proving themself to be a powerhouse vocalist, and with some of the belts and sustains that were all over the band's Pyrokid EP and the aforementioned Babyface, we may have a new short king to hail at the microphone. The single drops on Friday, May 2nd, and the corresponding merch is available for pre-order on the band's Big Cartel store.
