Brat Metal Meets 'brat' As Eville Cover Charli XCX's "sympathy is a knife"

The Brighton group give their take on their countrywoman's now-iconic song.

Baddiecore and bimbocore be damned, brat metal is one of the newest and truest takes on female-fronted heavy music. Drawing on inspiration from pop divas and standing on empowerment and equality, the movement is seeing a much-needed uptick in popularity, and one such band moving things forward is Eville of Brighton, England.

The band have been hard at work growing their fanbase, and with that has come a take on "sympathy is a knife," the Charli XCX smash from her now-iconic album brat. While there is no studio version on streaming or digital at this time, the band have released a couple of clips of their cover, as seen below:

The band's debut EP BRAT METAL drops this Friday, October 17th.

Eville are set to join happydaze and Seven Blood as support for As Everything Unfolds' UK/Germany tour in November:
