Drag artists wake up, grab a brush and put a little make-up regularly, but the realm of heavy music is one that is not as deeply explored by the art of gender illusion. That said, few bands have broken the mold quite like System of a Down, and a collective of drag performers are looking to pay homage to the Armenian-American quartet in just a few weeks.
“Steal This Drag Show!” is a System-themed show hosted by Marquis Gaylord and The Twisted Transitioner, the latter of whom we had the privilege of speaking to earlier this year. This event has recently become an all-king affair, as Twisted and Marquis will be joined by Adam Apple, Big Top, Mizer Malicious, and Macho Grande.
“Steal This Drag Show!” will take place on May 1st at No Class in Cleveland, OH. The venue is at 11213 Detroit Ave. Doors are at 8pm, the show begins at 9pm, with a $10 entry fee.
