Not to say that we called it, but today (July 7th), Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor became the latest guest on Last Meals, the experiential interview series by Mythical Kitchen. Over a meal full of, as Taylor dubs it, "Iowa grossness," he and host Josh Scherer dig into the roots of the iconic musician, from his childhood in Iowa to that fight with a ceiling fan in 1995, all the way to the present day as one of the titans of modern metal.

The episode clocks in at over an hour long, making it one of the longest episodes in series history. It is outdone only by internet icons such as Dimension 20's Brennan Lee Mulligan. With over three decades in the limelight, there is plenty of ground to cover, including the early days of Slipknot as literal starving artists, that Nardwuar interview, his dalliances with the supernatural, and his ongoing sobriety.

With this sit-down special, Taylor joins nu metal royalty at the Last Meals pantheon, which includes Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda and System of a Down's Serj Tankian.

The episode can be watched below, as well as on the Mythical Kitchen YouTube channel, with new episodes airing on Tuesdays during this, the show's fifth season.
