I had no idea there was a Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in Joliet. I grew up not far from there (though in the Illinois suburbs 'not that far' is still like a 45 minute drive) and I would have liked to visit at least once. I'm a sucker for that stuff and have fond memories of the big one in Cleveland, Ohio placing me in an exclusive class of people that have fond memories of Cleveland, Ohio.
Anyway I guess Disturbed got inducted into the Joliet one. Yippee.
For some reason their website doesn't list them as an inductee, just recipients of the 'President’s Choice Award'? I guess they're not quite up to the snuff of 'Enuff Z’Nuff' and 'Q101 Chicago' (very deserved even though I quibble about being able to induct a whole radio station).
I miss posting Disturbed stuff, they were the silliest band to take themselves dead seriously, but when you travel all the way over the ocean to sign weapons of war you're out. Line has to be drawn somewhere. Endorsing Israel's ongoing genocide of Palestinians? You're out. They would have been a shoo-in for the The Nu Metal Hall of Fame (coming soon to a deserted RadioShack in Naperville, Illinois) but not anymore. I wish them the worst.
