Dry Kill Logic to Release 'The Dead and Dreaming' 20th Anniversary Vinyl via Lambgoat Records

To honor the 20th anniversary of The Dead and Dreaming, Dry Kill Logic are teaming up with Lambgoat Records for an exclusive vinyl pressing — complete with new artwork and limited to just 100 copies.

Lambgoat Records has announced the 20th-anniversary vinyl release of Dry Kill Logic’s The Dead and Dreaming, marking the first time the New York metal band’s material has ever been pressed on vinyl.

The commemorative edition features new artwork and is pressed on “100 color in color” vinyl. Originally released in 2004, The Dead and Dreaming marked a key stylistic evolution for the band, “darker, heavier, and more dynamic than anything before it.”

This vinyl run includes fan favorites such as “Paper Tiger,” “Lost,” and “Perfect Enemy,” and is limited to just 100 copies, making it a collector’s item for longtime fans of the band’s modern-metal legacy.

Frontman Cliff Rigano shared his excitement for the milestone, saying, “We are stoked to release our FIRST EVER vinyl with Lambgoat as part of our celebration of twenty years of ‘The Dead & Dreaming’ – the perfect way to end an unbelievable year. Huge thanks to everyone who celebrated with us along the way – we will see you again in 2026, and the best is yet to come!”

Lambgoat Records owner David Truax also reflected on the collaboration, noting, “I’ve been a huge fan of Dry Kill Logic since first discovering them in 2001 through The Darker Side of Nonsense. I was even lucky enough to catch their set at Hellfest 2004. Now, 20 years later, it's surreal to be collaborating with the band and helping to bring their material to vinyl for the first time. This project is a true full-circle moment, and I couldn't be more excited to help present such an important piece of heavy music history.”

Pre-orders for The Dead and Dreaming 20th Anniversary Edition are available now through Lambgoat’s online store.

The release arrives as Dry Kill Logic experiences a creative resurgence. In an interview with The Nu Metal Agenda, frontman Cliff Rigano opened up about the band’s recent single “Now You Belong with the Dead,” released in May 2025: their first new material in years.

Rigano explained that the title came from a line in the original Mummy movie: “I loved you once, but now you belong with the dead.” He described it as a metaphor for release and transformation — “a great way to express being angry about something… but also how to express the act of letting go and being able to move on from it.”

While keeping the song’s personal meaning close, Rigano emphasized the importance of authenticity in his writing. “I will choose to keep my subject matter to myself, but I will say we all have experiences that leave impressions. … the most important thing is a song that we're proud of.”

Reflecting on how the band has evolved since their early-2000s breakthrough, Rigano noted a shift in vocal and emotional tone. “My voice has shifted … I’m singing a higher register now … we’ve had twenty years off to kind of re-energize our life experience to be able to write new music.”

And as for the future of Dry Kill Logic, Rigano added, “We’ve got Kevin in the group now … our producer, Greg Thomas, is just the most wonderful person to work with … Dare to dream knock on wood who knows but … we’re just super excited to get back in the room start to think about what more new Dry Kill could sound like.”

Between the anniversary pressing of The Dead and Dreaming and the release of their latest single, Dry Kill Logic appear firmly locked in a new era. One that honors their roots while embracing everything they’ve learned along the way.
