Pinkshift Cover "Eyeless" Live, Release Official Recording

The Baltimore trio show off their heavier side with a cover of the Slipknot classic

They say you can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes. Turns out what's true in Des Moine, Iowa holds true in Baltimore, Maryland, home of pop punk trio Pinkshift. Consisting of singer Ashrita Kumar, guitarist/bassist/vocalist Paul Vallejo, and drummer/vocalist Myron Houngbedji, the former Johns Hopkins medical and engineering students showed off their heavier side with a rare cover of Slipknot's classic "Eyeless" at Brooklyn Steel back in April.

Now, in celebration of Halloween, and lining up with Slipknot's moment in the zeitgeist, the eclectic group released an official recording of that live performance. "This one's for all the dads out there–and the girls!" Kumar cheers up top. Joined on stage by bassist Kirby Bell and second guitarist Michael Stabekis, Pinkshift ably summon the kind of fury that normally takes nine men to conjure. Keep an, uh, eye out, for a studio version of the cover.

Until then, fans can catch Pinkshift finishing up their Earthkeeper Tour with special guests LustSickPuppy and Combat. Starting at the end of January the band will tour Europe and the UK in support of Grandson on upcoming INERTIA Tour. And just announced today, Pinkshift will play the 2000trees 2026 in Cheltenham, UK on Saturday, July 11th. Tickets available here.
