Yesterday, Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst posted an Instagram story of him alone in the recording studio. Riding the success of their new hit single "Making Love to Morgan Wallen" from the Battlefield 6 soundtrack and recent reappraisal of their work, this is the closest thing to an official update the fans have gotten since early 2024.
Clearly a fan of cryptic social media posting, the singer/rapper/producer/director doesn't give too much away in the cryptic video. "Well, I got the studio all to myself today. Ohhhhhhh maaaannn" he intones giddily. "Seemin' like a... like a vocal kind of day. I don't know. What do you think?" he continues. The strangest detail comes when he turns his camera phone toward a (seemingly) empty couch and clarifies, "Got a couple ghosts with me. Sup? I think it's time to turn it up!" Some wonder if Durst is working on a solo record, but so that's just speculation.
Whatever the case, the band is clearly having a moment–and enjoying it. Check this space for any and all future updates.
