On Monday's episode of WWE Monday Night RAW following WrestleMania, momentous and exciting things are bound to happen. As far as the nu world goes, we got a dubious doozy in the form of an anthem of the genre used to soundtrack the highlight reel of one of the most controversial athletes in WWE history.
Following his loss to Oba Femi at the opening of WrestleMania Sunday, Brock Lesnar removed his boots and his gloves and left them in the ring, signaling his retirement after a quarter century in the sports world, between his multiple WWE runs and his brief but monstrous run in the UFC. All of the chants of "Thank you Lesnar" can't drown out all of the heinous things he's been accused of in the Janel Grant lawsuit, having been named in it some ninety different times for crimes that are frankly too disturbing for us to discuss here.
I'm trying to be light about this, but damn if this isn't a mixed bag. I'm as thrilled to hear Godsmack on WWE television as much as the next person, but having it linked to a known homophobe and "alpha male" poster boy sucks.
Check out the video package below:
There will NEVER be another Brock Lesnar! 😤
