This week for their "Feliz Jueves" celebrations, HEALTH have released two remixes for "You Died", taken from the upcoming Conflict DLC. One of the remixes is done by HVDES, while the other is by HIDEOUTS in collaboration with Seth.
For the HVDES remix, the inspiration comes from dubstep, both new and old. HVDES did well blending the original song into something minimalist, while not straying far from the original. It's something in the ballpark of deathstep, like SvddenDeath or Hi I'm Ghost. While I prefer this remix, the drum and bass remix from Hideouts wasn't bad. I just feel it was lacking in intensity for what is originally an upbeat track. As much as I did love the production and sample choices, it just seems too clean for what I think of as HEALTH or a remix of one of their songs.
At time of publication, there are only four more Thursdays for this new series of HEALTH originals and remixes. The last "Feliz Jueves" of this cycle falls on December 11th, 2025, and Conflict R-TYPE will be out sometime in Q1 2026.
