Witch house producer Brothel and dark pop singer DeathbyRomy have teamed up this "Feliz Jueves" for a new HEALTH Remix. The band's latest song "Ordinary Loss" has been remixed once by Brooks Aleksander. Now it's Thursday again and HEALTH has dropped another remix. While it's not necessarily techno, it's a really great spooky witch house remix, just in time for Halloween.
This remix feels like closest you'll get to an official HEALTH song that sounds like its in a late Nineties / early Aughts found footage horror or vampire movie. Think something like a modern Queen of the Damned and/or Saw. It also helps that DeathbyRomy's vocal harmonies with Jake Duzsik's vocals are heavenly. This remix really turn the lyrics from the vibes of let's mourn the past and hope for a better future, to everything is screwed. This is particularly the case with this line:
"All there is is bad news / I know we'll be gone soon / Is it just another lie / Or is this real life?"
As much as the song is doom and gloom, I really feel like you should stream this song, It has beautiful synth textures, the bass is bumping, and the lyrics re-done with both Duzsik and Romy are perfection. If you're gonna add any new songs to your Halloween playlist, please make it this one.
