Industrial metal band, HEALTH surprised dropped a music video for their single "Antidote". While HEALTH has experimented with 3D models in past videos for songs like "Children of Sorrow"; but not like this. This music video is fully animated by HEALTH fans and members of the VR Chat, Obsidian Garden discord. Essentially Obsidian Garden is a 18+ music venue in VR Chat for bass music experiences. To quote the producer of the music video, "Dragonbutt."
"Now that I have had a chance to calm myself I wanted to officially share with all of you here that the HEALTH music video for ANTIDOTE is out! This project has been a HUGE inspiration to me and everyone involved.
A HUGE MEGA GIGANTIC thank you and shout out to D'vocean , Kriss and 3ckho for supporting me taking this project on cuz without them none of this would have had the foundation to start in the first place. Shoutout to mojopeg for filming, and to Fel , Tylyn and Raptorrrs for their acting in the video and to the near 30 extras we had supporting us in various tasks, ideas and troubleshooting!
Shoutout to Johnny, Zev and the rest of the HEALTH team for coming to us for this project and letting us try to keep it true to VRChat. I have no words for how incredible this has been and for how fondly I will remember this."
“Antidote” stands out as one of the strongest concepts on the Conflict DLC. It captures the post-pandemic isolation shaped by technology, and its lyrics carry a hollow, aching weight. The stark, beautiful instrumental paired with lines like
“Paranoid fantasy / Delusion jealousy / Holding on to me / They’re holding on to me / How many nights…”
deepens that sense of emotional vacancy.
The track reflects the erosion of both platonic and romantic relationships that defined the pandemic era, and mirrors the strange, detached intimacy of spending hours with friends in virtual spaces like Grand Theft Auto Online. That blend of connection and loneliness sits at the core of “Antidote.”
While VRChat has hosted countless music videos, Antidote’s visual treatment distinguishes itself by being both serious and subtly absurd. It highlights a growing affection for both loved ones and the digital worlds people retreat into. At the same time, the video underscores the isolation embedded in online relationships and in the escapist pull of virtual reality. It frames digital escape not as a casual diversion but as an addictive refuge — a place that leaves people feeling more separate than ever.
The piece asks an uncomfortable question: if technology was meant to bring people closer, why does it so often feel like it’s pulling everyone apart? And will anyone recognize the fracture before it’s irreversible?
Conflict DLC is out now on Loma Vista Records.
