Mudvayne's Greg Tribbett To Sit Out 'L.D. 50' Anniversary Tour Following Wife's Passing

The guitarist's wife Debbie passed away on September 7th after a battle with breast cancer.

Sad news coming from the Mudvayne camp today, as the band's guitarist Greg Tribbett has opted to stay home from the band's tour for the 25th anniversary of their debut album L.D. 50. The decision was only made recently, as Greg's wife Debbie unfortunately passed away on Sunday, September 7th due to angiosarcoma, a rare form of breast cancer with which she was diagnosed last year.

Debbie entered hospice last month, sharing a farewell message of sorts on her social media:

"Thank you everyone for your prayers through my cancer journey. I'm still going to fight in other ways to prolong my life but I do start hospice tomorrow hoping the rest of my time here in earth is less painful. Please continue to pray for my family especially when I'm gone. If you happen to see them remind them how much I love them. Thank you to everyone that's been a part of my beautiful life. I love you."

At this time, it has not been determined if or when Tribbett will return to the road. We here at The Nu Metal Agenda extend our condolences to the Tribbett family.

In spite of this tremendous loss, the band has opted to carry on, posting the following message to their socials:

"Tour starts today! We are going to miss our brother Greg on this tour, sending him and his family all the love.

- Chad, Matt, Ryan, & Mudvayne crew."
