Anthony Vincent and Mac Glocky are two YouTube musicians arguably known for their "in the style of" songwriting. Taking all those "What if x band covered y band" conversations we have with each other and making them reality.
Of course this comes with the limitations of doing an impression of a band, which may not always be well-received. However, in this case Vincent and Glocky got the co-sign of the legendary Shavo, bassist of nu metal legends System Of A Down. What earned them the nod? A cover of Spice Girls' "Wannabe" in the Style of System of a Down.
This cover really nails both of the catchiness of Wannabe with the inimitable vocal and instrumental elements of System, in parts bringing to mind tracks like "Lonely Day", "Chic N' Stu", and "Violent Pornography". While this cover is definitely a novelty, it is no joke one of the best "in style of" covers I've seen. Give it a listen.
