This past Tuesday (Nov. 3rd) saw the midterm elections in the United States, with the blue wave/tsunami/bluekakke hitting like a record scratch in an early Aughts track. In so many words, people are feeling hope for the first time in two years and change, and among those feeling some kinda way about the elections is one Fred Durst, frontman for Limp Bizkit, who has announced that he is running for office. Where for? Who knows. Which level of government? Who cares? Is he bringing that red cap he's known for with him? Fuck no, and do you blame him!
In an Instagram video, Durst tells viewers:
Well... Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse, it's time to vote Durst. I wanna get to the bottom of all this bullshit. I'm runnin'.
It appears as though he's wasted no time, as there is now an Instagram account with the handle @votedurst. We shall wait and see what his policies are before we make any endorsements, but let's think of this: we already know he recognizes no less than three genders ("For the ladies, for the fellas, and the people that don't give a fuck" from "Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)"), and that helped Joe Biden on the road to 270 votes in the 2020 presidential election.
And hell, if Durst is going to resist the urge to throw trans people under the bus like so many "progressive" candidates have, he may well have my vote.
Speaking of, he better have a "Campaign Vehicle" with "Rollin'" blasting out of that shit across the US of A.
Are we losing the plot? I mean, one of the biggest nepo babies of all time is in the White House now, so please don't tell us we're out of our minds here. This last decade has broken us.
