Slipknot's longtime DJ and keyboardist Sid Wilson has been notified that he was permanently kicked out of the band as of late Friday, according to a report from TMZ.
It isn't exactly official what led to the sudden split. Wilson had been with the band since 1999 and was one of nine original members. With his departure, there are now four original members left in the band.
In his time with the band, Wilson was mostly responsible for the horror angle the music took. He was also known for his stage diving, notably breaking both of his heels in 2008 and still finishing the performance.
It is also worth noting that his engagement to Kelly Osbourne was broken off in March of this year.
