Chat Pile Release Music Video for "Frownland", Kickstart North American Tour

“Frownland isn't a cheerful place, and it shouldn't be. It's a look at all the things we see around us every day and sometimes try to ignore."

Chat Pile has just released a haunting new music video for their track "Frownland," off of their latest album release, Cool World. You can read the Nu Metal Agenda's review of the record here. The new video, released just days prior to the start of their North American tour, offers an eerie visual experience that matches the band’s intense soundscape and lyrical tone.

In a recent statement about the video, lead vocalist Raygun Busch shared, “Frownland isn't a cheerful place, and it shouldn't be. It's a look at all the things we see around us every day and sometimes try to ignore. We wanted to bring that out in this video.” Director Matthew Zagorski gave comments about the video, stating, "When I first heard this song, I heard despair, so I wanted the video to start off troubling. The main character laying there in the rubble of his old life, digging through the ruins of what used to be. I was dealing with extreme feelings of loneliness and not feeling worthy at the time of piecing together this video and it really bled into the narrative.”

The band is gearing up for the first leg of their North American tour, which runs from October 31 to November 22. It begins with two hometown performances in Oklahoma City, followed by stops throughout the Midwest and Canada, and then a series of East Coast shows. The second leg will take place from February to March, with shows across Texas and along the West Coast of the U.S. and Canada.
