The intersection of nu metal and K-pop is a busier one than netizens might think, and ENHYPEN leader Jungwon understands this. For the group's new album The Sin: Vanish, each member crafted their own version of the award-winning song "Knife," with Jungwon's borrowing from nu metal and industrial metal, right down to the man himself programming the drum parts on a MIDI keyboard.

As it turns out, the ENGENEs across the globe are digging it as well, as "Knife (JUNGWON Ver.)" has cracked the Vibe Domestic Chart at #93. It also is the most liked of all versions of "Knife" on Melon, a South Korean music streaming service.

Sadly, going by Spotify metrics, Jungwon's version is the least-streamed among the seven, with around 279,000 streams at time of publication. The most-streamed would be Sunghoon's version, which he describes as a "Brazilian funk-style remix track" in his voice note. The track has around 843,000 streams at time of publication.

In short? Do better, American ENGENEs. That said, the album itself has debuted at number 2 on the Billboard charts, racking up 122,000 units sold.
