Faith No More is Not Actually No More

What is it? It's a reunion.

Remember a few months back when we were pretty certain that Faith No More was… well, no more? It’s time to put the figurative foot in my mouth for that, because the reality appears to be the exact opposite.

It all started with a mysterious post on June 16th from the official Faith No More instagram page with an image of a crowd and “2027” on top of it. Now, this isn’t Faith’s first rodeo in teasing fans with a return. Back in 2021 there was meant to be a reunion tour that was unfortunately cancelled due to some personal issues vocalist Mike Patton was going through at the time. Patton has since returned to the spotlight doing multiple tours with his other bands, as well as a brand new collaborative project with The Avett Brothers. Things were pretty uncertain in the Faith camp, as multiple members spoke candidly about there being no real plans on the horizon in a few interviews. Even Patton himself said that there was an unspoken feeling amongst the band about them coming to a close in an interview with Kyle Meredith

However! Faith No More has appeared to sign with 30e, a global promoter based in Brazil, and bassist Billy Gould confirming their grand return with Rock Talk

“We’re gonna play… We all kind of decided, like, we think we can do it. I think that we can do it for a few more years, and we can do it the right way, so we’re gonna give it a go.”

So, axe any and all ideas that Faith No More were closing the curtains. They’re throwing them wide open with newfound vigor and confidence. While we’ve been through this song and dance before, some hope alive for any future show updates.
