On February 18th, a piece of nu-metal lost media was found: a mod for Fallout: New Vegas that adds Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst as a companion.
The "Fallout New Vegas Fred Durst Companion" was uploaded to the popular video game modding site nexusmods.com on June 21st, 2015, then deleted on May 3, 2017 and has been considered lost media since then. Originally showcased in a Youtube video by creator lb8068, footage of the mod in-game was later reposted to the subreddit for let's play show r/TwoBestFriendsPlay and gained popularity.
Using an archived copy of the page, the mod’s original description read:
Fred is equipped with a chainsaw to skin your a** raw and a useless f**** BB gun that uses MCA. He won't use any BBs you've found in the Wasteland. Fred is "voice acted" where he'll sing some cool-ass edgy Limp Bizkit songs in response to your demands. This is a horribly made companion mod, you could probably do a better job if you follow the tutorials here
Now, after several years offline, the mod is available once again (with a video of proof and help from x users @DeMickyD and @Usagicola). It's even Durst-approved.

Although not yet posted to Nexusmods, a link has been provided to download the mod directly and add Fred to your personal copy of Fallout.
