Filter Releases New Album after Seven Years: "The Algorithm"

A wild welcome into the weekend, legacy alt rock quartet Filter just dropped their eighth album, The Algorithm. In it, front man and songwriter Richard Patrick provides eleven tracks of that familiar, industrial grunge we’ve grown acquainted with. It’s consistent, with tracks like “Threshing Floor” and “For the Beaten” throwing us right back into the wood chipper - the latter was released as a single and will prove familiar to those in the know. The record is a long time coming, having been almost scrapped in a turbulent six year production process. But new Filter is welcome here, and you already know where to find it.
