Multi-platinum Canadian alt-metal veterans Finger Eleven just put out a call for a singer. Don't worry, they're not replacing lead singer/founding member Scott Anderson (as if he even could be replaced). No, they're looking for a singer to duet with Anderson on a new version of "Last Night On Earth," the title track from their most recent album, 2025's Last Night On Earth.
Andrson took to social media to tell fans the thinking behind this surprising move:
Hi, I'm Scott from Finger Eleven, and we're looking for a new lead singer. No, not to replace me. We're looking for somebody to duet with us on our new song, 'Last Night On Earth.' I really feel like the lyrics lend themselves to having another voice on it; we just don't have it yet. And it could be yours.
When I say duet, I mean you could do anything you want. You could play acoustically, you could sing along with me, you could harmonize, you could remix the song, add more lyrics, let's see what happens. Check out the song in the link below or in our band bio and then post your idea to YouTube Shorts, TikTok, or Instagram and use the hashtag #F11LastNightDuet, and if we love your idea, it could end up being an official feature on the song.
Now go get singing!
In addition to the social media post, Anderson put out the following statement:
We have always loved the idea of turning 'Last Night On Earth' into a duet. Putting the #F11LastNightDuet idea out to the artist community and leaving the creative boundaries open is key. We hope artists will bring their own style and emotion — whether by adding lyrics, adjusting the arrangement, or working within the existing framework. I'm excited to hear the different interpretations. I have no idea what to expect, and that's exactly what I love about it.
This search for a singer is timed with the release of the "Last Night On Earth" maxi-single and the announcement of the deluxe edition of Last Night On Earth. The maxi-single is comprised of four versions of the track, including two demos and an instrumental. Along with all four tracks from the maxi single, the deluxe edition of Last Night On Earth will include a live version of "Living In A Dream" and live acoustic versions of the hit singles "First Time" and "One Thing." The deluxe edition arrives November 6th. Fans can click here to pre-save.

Interestingly, it's not clear where this new duet version will end up. The press release mentions four alternate versions of "Last Night On Earth," but only three alternate versions are listed. It remains to be seen whether this duet version will be included on the deluxe edition or part of some separate future project. It's entirely possible the band is waiting to see how this all synergizes before making a final decision closer to the deluxe album's digital release.
In either case, fans can look forward to seeing Finger Eleven out on the road soon. Starting at the end of the month, the band will embark on a UK tour supporting SOiL with fellow special guests Adema. On November 5th, the entire lineup will make an appearance at the 19th annual Hard Rock Hell Festival in Great Yarmouth. And next March, Finger Eleven will head out on their headlining Last Night On Earth Tour in celebration of the new album. Tickets are on sale now.
