GHØSTKID Drops "I DESTROYED YOU," Debuts New Lineup, Reschedules EU/UK Tour To Spring 2027

With a new album comes a new line-up, as well as a rescheduled tour, in a rollercoaster week for the German outfit.

German alt-metal chaoticists GHØSTKID have had a week of highs and lows, to say the least. The lows can come later, though, as the band released a new song in "I DESTROYED YOU" last week, debuting with it a new band lineup. Joining Sebastian "Sushi" Biesler are Ian Duncan on guitar (Caliban), former Electric Callboy drummer David Friedrich, and former We Butter The Bread With Butter bassist Axel One. This comes just days before the band's third studio LP FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT drops, as it will do on October 2nd via Century Media Records.

The new members offer the following behind their history with Sushi and their vision for the band moving forward:

DAVID:
"David and I share a long musical history. We stood on stage together in Electric Callboy for almost 10 years, and I'm beyond happy that he decided to support me with GHØSTKID. This is only the beginning of a new chapter for both of us. I can't wait to share the stage with him again — he's someone I've always considered not only a close friend, but also an important part of my life."

IAIN:
"Iain and I have known each other for many years through his former band, We Butter the Bread with Butter, and now through Caliban. He has been a close friend for a long time and even took part in the songwriting process for the self-titled album. We have never actually played together in a band before, so this will be a new experience for both of us — and one we're really looking forward to."

AXEL:
"Some of you probably know Axel as well from We Butter the Bread with Butter. He's such a funny guy and has always been nothing but a lovely person, so I can't wait to hit the road with him. Even though all of us have known each other for many years, playing together in the same band is going to be an interesting journey for all of us."

The band's Follow The White Rabbit Tour has been postponed to spring 2027, as Biesler has decided to take a step back for mental health reasons. In a video posted to the band's socials, he stresses that the tickets previously purchased will still be honored, though Seven Blood will not be able to join the tour as they were once intended to.
