Godsmack's self-titled 1998 debut has reached another significant milestone, earning its fifth multi-platinum certification in the United States. Originally achieving gold (500,000 units) status in April 1999 and climbing to 4x multi-platinum (4,000,000 units) by December 2001, the album played a pivotal role in launching the band's rise to prominence.
Among the tracks from this self-titled debut, "Voodoo," its third single, stands out as the only one to secure separate certifications. It achieved gold and platinum status in March 2015. On November 20, the RIAA awarded the album its latest multi-platinum certification, further solidifying its position as the band's most celebrated release in terms of sales.
Godsmack is set to tour Europe in spring 2025 alongside supporting accts P.O.D. and Drowning Pool. Tickets can be purchased at the band's official website.
