Metallica has added a new exhibition to their digital museum, The Metallica Black Box, dedicated to their 2003 release St. Anger. Released on June 5th, 2003, Metallica’s polarizing eighth studio album featured the thrash legends experimenting with their own version of a nu-metal musical style.
The “20 Years of Anger” collection contains a wide range of art, photos, handwritten lyrics, track sheets, and more, giving an inside look at the recording, production, and release of St. Anger. Behind-the-scenes details of the documentary Metallica: Some Kind of Monster are also included in the collection, the album having been the main subject of the film.
You can check out “20 Years of Anger” on Metallica’s official Black Box website.
