Unfortunate news from the doom-trap diva Mimi Barks, who has announced via Instagram that her tour supporting her recent Dreamstate of Fear EP will have to conclude following tonight's show in London at Academy 2.
Barks' statement reads as follows:
Hey flock, I've made the really tough decision to cancel the rest of the tour.
On my EU tour two months ago I tore two ligaments in my left knee and even thought I've been performing in a brace and doing everything I can to push through, the pain has become unbearable. I really tried and I'm so sorry to let you down. This wasn't an easy decision at all but I don't want to keep pushing it and risk making the injury worse and potentially ending up needing surgery and being unable to perform for a whole year. As much as it fucking hurts to do this, I need to listen to my body now and give myself the best chance of recovering properly. All tickets for the remaining shows will be refunded.
The London show is still going ahead, so let's make this last night a good one 🖤
We wish Mimi a speedy and thorough recovery. In the meantime, her most recent EP Dreamstate of Fear was released in July. Physicals and merch can be found here.
