Motionless In White Perform Rammstein's "Du Hast" at Shiprocked

Motionless In White have resurrected their 'Punk Goes 90s' cover of Rammstein's "Du Hast"

While Motionless In White have their roots in metalcore, they've branched out over the years and incorporated other genres into their catalog, including industrial and nu metal. Their sophomore effort, Infamous, was heavily influenced by bands such as Slipknot, Linkin Park, Korn, Rammstein, KMFDM, and Nine Inch Nails. 2014's Reincarnate continued this sound, even including a feature from Tim Skold of Marilyn Manson and KMFDM fame. It was announced in early 2014 that the band would be covering "Du Hast" by Rammstein for the upcoming Punk Goes 90's Vol. 2 compilation cover album from Fearless Records. Out of the popular bands in the scene at the time, Motionless In White was the perfect pick to cover a song by the famed German industrial band.

The band decided to dust off this cover for their Shiprocked 2026 performance. Previously, the last time they played "Du Hast" live was in 2018, and before that was in 2016. It is not a regular track featured on their setlists, so here's to hoping they play it more. Obviously the original version is iconic, but MIW do the song justice with their rendition. Extra credit must be given to Chris Motionless for having to learn some German in order to execute this cover.
