We don't usually talk about heavy metal innovators like Black Sabbath at the Nu-Metal Agenda; however, there are some nu-metal legends playing in a special super-group performance at the July farewell show. According to Forbes.com,
‘Back to the Beginning’ will also include performances from a ‘super-group’ of musicians from the likes of Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), David Draiman (Disturbed), Duff McKagan & Slash (Guns N’ Roses), Jake E Lee (ex-Ozzy Osbourne), Jonathan Davis (Korn), Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine), KK Downing (Judas Priest), Mike Bordin (Faith No More), Sammy Hagar, Wolfgang Van Halen, Sleep Token ii (Sleep Token), Scott Ian & Frank Bello (Anthrax), Papa V Perpetua (Ghost), and Zakk Wylde. The announcement for Back To the Beginning also states that “more names will be announced shortly.”
In addition to Black Sabbath, other band and artists playing are Ozzy Osbourne (solo material), Slayer, Metallica, Anthrax, and many more legendary bands.
Tickets go on sale February 14th, 2025. The band's show will be held July 5th, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham (Aston Villa Football Club Stadium). All profits will be going to Cure Parkinson's, Acorn Children's Hospice, and Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Currently, we have found no new information on how this super-group when and what they will perform at the event, we will check in soon with any updates. Still, I'd buy your tickets now; this may be your first and last time to be able to see Fred Durst and Black Sabbath playing at the same show.
