We have our first confirmed detail for the resurrection of the beloved Ozzfest.

Ever since the passing of the legendary Ozzy Osbourne in 2025, fans have called for the revival of the heavy metal festival that dominated the late 90's and early 2000's. Sharon Osbourne has stated that Ozzfest will re-emerge in 2027 with plans to hold shows in both the UK and the U.S., but the official social media pages of the festival have confirmed this information. Ozzfest will make it's triumphant return to Villa Park stadium in Birmingham, England. This venue is significant because it also hosted the final Black Sabbath performance, "Back to the Beginning" on July 5th, 2025, just over two weeks before Osbourne's passing. Birmingham is also the birthplace of Black Sabbath. There is no other venue that is more fitting for the reemergence of Ozzfest, picking up where Ozzy left off.

No dates or bands have been confirmed yet, but the social media posts claim that more information will be on the way soon. There have not been any additional updates either for potential shows in the United States. Sharon has been in talks with bands to perform at the festival, but nothing has been revealed or even hinted at.

Fans and musicians alike shared their cherished memories from the days of Ozzfest. Many artists owe much of their early exposure and success to the tour, and an outpouring of tributes online showed how much of an impact that Ozzy had on numerous bands. The rebirth of Ozzfest is surely a heartfelt way to commemorate the legacy and life of the iconic Prince of Darkness. Stay tuned for more updates and information as they are released.
