Slipknot's Debut Album Achieves Triple Platinum Status

The band's self-titled record remains their best-selling effort.

It hasn't even been a week since metal powerhouses Slipknot released the 25th anniversary edition of their eponymous debut album, and it has already reached a new milestone. Slipknot has now been certified triple platinum in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America. Other albums by the band that have been certified platinum are Iowa, Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses), and All Hope Is Gone, but none have reached triple status, not even double.

This goes to show how beloved and mind-blowing their debut album is. The first platinum certification came just under a year after Slipknot was unleashed on the world, with the second one coming a few years later in 2005. There have been multiple anniversary releases for this record, including previously unheard songs and demos, and every time, Maggots eat it up. Slipknot clearly captured the hearts of fans in 1999 and continues to do so in 2025.
