'The Masked Singer' to Host Ozzfest-Themed Episode in Honor of Ozzy Osbourne

The reality singing competition pay their respects to the heavy metal legend who passed last year.

The Masked Singer, the hit singing competition where singers are hidden behind a mask have filmed an episode which pays tribute to the icon that was Ozzy Osbourne.

He passed last year on July 22nd, 2025 at the age of 76. While the episode is dubbed 'Ozzfest Night', the preview only shows two songs being formed: "Crazy Train" and "Mama, I'm Coming Home", both of which are songs from Ozzy's solo catalog. It doesn't seem likely that songs from bands made famous by appearing on Ozzfest, such as Slipknot, will be included on the show. Regardless, even if Ozzfest is only represented in name alone, it will be lovely to see performers celebrate and memorialize the work of a man who had such a profound impact on the heavy metal genre over many decades.

Perhaps the usage of the Ozzfest name could indicate a future return for the festival sometime soon? Whether it is a full-blown summer tour with multiple stages like it was at the height of its popularity, or even if it is just a weekend festival in one location, many people would rejoice in the resurrection of Ozzfest, especially in honor of its namesake.

It is set to air on Wednesday, March 4th at 8pm EST / 7pm CST on FOX. His daughter, Kelly Osbourne, returned to the show to participate as a guest judge.
