English nu-electro duo SKYND are deep into Chapter VII, the latest string of their true crime-inspired songs. Earlier this month we were treated to "Andrei Chikatilo" in all of its menace, and today, the band announced the subject for part two, with the focus remaining on Russia.
This Friday, April 3rd will see the release of "Tamara Samsonova," named for the killer who claimed two known victims in St. Petersburg in 2003 and 2015, respectively, though she is currently being investigated for as many as fourteen other murders. Samsonova kept a diary of her crimes, which would be used in court against her to put her away under compulsory treatment in December 2015. She is colloquially known as "The Granny Ripper" and "Baba Yaga," with many fans correctly identifying her as the next track's subject via clues dropped in Instagram reels.
