Static-X Added To Wacken Open Air Festival

Evil disco is coming to the holy ground of Germany's iconic metal festival.

After two previous attempts to get them to their hallowed grounds, Wacken Open Air Festival has formally confirmed that the purveyors of evil disco Static-X will be at this year's proceedings. In a post to their socials, the organizers celebrated the careers of the Wisconsin nu metallers while solidifying their status for this year's show, taking place from July 30th through August 2nd.

Static-X, complete with new singer/guitarist Xer0, are wrapping up the North American leg of their Machines vs Monsters tour, alongside Dope, GWAR, and A Killer's Confession.

Tickets are completely sold out, and that is no surprise. Fans generally buy up the Karten in minutes once they go on sale. So while this year's Wacken is spoken for, those looking to travel to the epicenter of heavy music festivals may want to start planning now, or at least sooner rather than later.

The full lineup for this year's WOA is chock-full of heavy goodness, namely Machine Head, Papa Roach, and Fear Factory, for those in the know of the nu. As of this time, the complete lineup is as pictured below:
