Those of us who were conscious of pop culture in the mid-2000s will remember the electronic tones of one "Crazy Frog," taken from the theme tune from Beverly Hills Cop, "Axel F." For those who are only now learning about Crazy Frog, no we're not sure why the frog is blue, nor why his dick is always out.
Mannheim's own The Butcher Sisters (TBS, no relation to the American superstation) have covered the iconic anthem, giving it their own metal flair with guttural vocals, chugging riffage, and a breakdown that shouldn't work, but it does. If you like your heavy music with a side of batshit ridiculousness - and if you're reading this, you probably do, don't lie - then this cover is just what the doctor ordered.
This cover also marks the band's first release with Century Media Records, which is one hell of a way to make an entrance, if we're being honest.

The band's most recent album is Das schwarze Album, which released via Arising Empire Records in January of this year.
In honor of the cover, the band have released exclusive merch, boasting an "Evil Frog" complete with horns and a pentacle behind it. The limited run of shirts will last until September 4th, and can be found on the band's webstore.
Following their performance at Heimspiel 4 this October, The Butcher Sisters will embark on a European tour in January 2027, with the following dates announced for Die Lustiger Spaßtour 2027:
