Anaheim-based New Zealand singer Vana (pronounced VAH-NAH) has just released their newest single, "In Your Name." Born Yvonne Elizabeth Winckel, Vana originally hails from Aotearoa, New Zealand, and has been making waves as a musician and a content creator, amassing over a million followers across social media. Recently they've toured with the likes of Set It Off and Fame on Fire.
"In Your Name" is co-written and co-produced by Vana and Vincent Ernst (Magnolia Park) and follows "Pray" as the second single following the 2024 release of their debut EP, Trial & Terror. The track gradual builds from an intimate, ethereal ode to the perils of a past love into something much harder and rawer (though still comfortably within the realm of electronic-infused metalcore) before tumbling back to Earth in an abyss of piano and flute lines. Fans of Ernst's production style and his work with Magnolia Park will find much to enjoy here.

[UPDATE] Less than a day after the release of their newest single, Vana's announced a change to the lineup of their upcoming North American Lady In Red Tour. Supporting act cloudyfield was forced to pull out of the tour citing "visa issues beyond their control." The Germany alt-rock/shoegazer put out the following statement:
Hey everyone,
I really hate having to make this post, but due to visa issues outside of my control, I won't be able to join the upcoming North America tour.
It truly breaks my heart that I can't be there. My team and I did everything we could to make it happen.
I was so excited for these shows and to finally see you all, it really meant a lot to me. I know how disappointing this must be, and I hate letting you down. That's the hardest part for me.
The other bands are still going to put on an amazing show, so please go support them if you can <3
I promise this won't be my last time coming to the US. I'll be back as soon as I can. I'm not letting this stop us.

cloudyfield's slot will now be taken by alt-pop upstart Chandler Leighton and screamo/metalcore veterans Eyes Set To Kill. Joining them as support will be rising Long Island metalcore outfit Deadlands and Australian alt-metal sensation RedHook. Throughout the fall, fans can see Vana at the D.C., Long Beach, and Orlando stops on the Vans Warped Tour as well as Louder Than Life and Knotfest in Mexico City.
