All Of The Linkin Park News, Including "Up From The Bottom," Upcoming Tours, And A Dead Sara Tease

Just months after the release of their comeback record From Zero, Linkin Park hit fans out of nowhere with loads of news, including a new single, new tours, and a potential look into the future for one member's other band.

First, the new single “Up from the Bottom” dropped, with an urgent pace, plenty of Mike Shinoda raps, and a power that feels like something from Minutes to Midnight-era LP. Emily Armstrong's vocals are on point here, with a bit of added grit in the choruses to punctuate the song's harder-hitting moments. It's not particularly flashy, instead going back to what brought Linkin Park to the dance in the first place.

The song is featured on the upcoming Deluxe Edition of From Zero, set to release on May 16th. It will be available on expanded 2CD digipak, as well as a translucent emerald 2LP vinyl and a ghostly orchid 2LP vinyl. The Deluxe Edition features three new songs, including “Up from the Bottom,” “Unshatter,” and “Let You Fade,” as well as five live tracks from the band's recent tours. These eight tracks will feature on the release's second disc, with the first disc containing the eleven tracks from the original album.

On the new songs, the band had this to say:

“Up From the Bottom” was created in between tours this year, infused with the electricity of those first shows back after a long hiatus. “Let You Fade” was a song that began during the From Zero sessions but found its final shape in sessions after the album’s release. “Unshatter” was an early track we made while recording From Zero; Emily’s huge vocal in the bridge was one of the moments that gave us an indication of what was possible together.

We are so grateful for the incredible reception to From Zero. This new chapter, our continuing journey, and the connection between the band and fans has been more than we could’ve hoped for. Thank you for listening.

For the band's upcoming world tour, there are several opportunities for fans to take part. For one, the band has a promotion lasting through April 2nd to request up to two randomly assigned seats to a North American show of their choosing, with the price of $39.50 per ticket plus fees. Requests do not guarantee the ability to purchase tickets.

Their show on September 13th in Los Angeles, CA will be at the Intuit Dome, with JPEGMAFIA opening. Those who had purchased tickets for this show previously will have first crack at obtaining new tickets, with refunds granted for the originals.

For Linkin Park Underground (LPU) members, sales for tickets to the band's South American Tour, which kicks off in Bogota, Colombia on October 25th, have begun.

Finally, Dead Sara, Emily Armstrong's band before her time with Linkin Park, has posted a photo to their socials which would imply that the band has reunited for the first time since Armstrong was revealed as LP's new singer. No further news has come out since this, but it would seem that the “world's greatest opening band” might be on track to move forward after all.
