After ominous teases, Leeds' own Artio have unleashed a brand-new song, their second original track this year. "The Devil You Know" is a fiery anthem that doesn't let up for its three and a half minute runtime, with plenty of detuned guitars and punk-style drumming. Singer Rae Brazill is joined by The Voice UK season 5 contestant Cody Frost on vocals, and the two make some killer harmonies on this one.
The band have also released a behind-the-scenes clip for the music video, shot by the band and Rae's sibling LJ, and with a reference to the 2002 live-action Scooby-Doo film in the first twenty seconds, it's all downhill from there in the best ways. It is refreshing to see a band who take what they do very seriously while not taking themselves seriously, and this queer rage quartet do just that.
Check out what we mean below:
The song makes the band's second original track and third overall for 2025, with "Split Soul" releasing earlier this year, as well as a cover of Twenty One Pilots' "Hometown." They have also re-released their first three EPs on their new label LAB Records, with the compilation now under the title Shapeshifted.
