Alt-industrial hitmakers and alleged baddiecore artist Bad Omens have collaborated with nu-pop titan Poppy on a new single called “V.A.N.”. The track is set in the world of the forthcoming Concrete Jungle comic series, was written and produced by Bad Omens frontman Noah Sebastian, and features Poppy playing the role of a hostile artificial intelligence. She delivers her lines with a combination of robotic cleans and chilling whispers that eventually give way to blood-curdling roars.
The track was released with an accompanying music video, co-directed by Poppy herself and Garrett Nicholson. In the video, Poppy’s character V.A.N. is experimented on and eventually escapes from a lab facility, with no shortage of creepy visuals along the way.
