Cantervice Issues Acoustic Versions Of "Doomsday" and "Point Of No Return"

'Zero Hour: Deluxe Edition' is out now.

Cantervice have released the deluxe edition of their debut LP Zero Hour, and with it come three bonus tracks. One is the already-released remix of "The Masquerade" by Zardonic and Toronto is Broken, but now that the full story has been told, the acoustic versions of both "Doomsday" and "Point of No Return" have been released with accompanying visualizer videos.

While the latter of the two acoustic treatments felt deserved, I was surprised to see that "Doomsday" was getting a mellower version. I thought for sure that if any song would get such a remake, it would be the moody "Into the Dark," but in any case, both are solid. Both contribute a brooding, emotional edge to the overarching concept that Cantervice go for with Zero Hour, that of a dystopic technocracy that is starting to feel a bit less like fiction as days go by.

Zero Hour: Deluxe Edition is available now via FiXT Music. Check out the acoustic renditions of "Doomsday" and "Point of No Return" below:
